I like that idea!  We should get a 'get together' arranged!

Deano, we need to take LC to a Nascar race, get him drunk on Old STyle, and eat some chili dogs!

OK, I'll watch hockey this coming season, I promise. LC, you watch a race..... preferably Richmond in about 5 weeks.

So is that idea good? North American members festival time? I know you're on board Wasted, what about you LC? Guess we'd have to find a way to pull Onhell out of the desert......

And convince SMX to come down from the mountains!  Hahaha.  We have an Atlantic Circuit stock car track about 5 miles down the highway, Deano.  I've been plenty of times, and did Scotia Speedway with dad a few times.  Not the same, but I'd love a chance to watch a race.  I've watched quite a few on tv.

Don't you have to have a passport to get out of the southwest US now?  :P

My fav race of this month is Bristol, the night race coming up in the next few weeks!  Love that one, and I'm having a party to celebrate the completion of my kitchen!!!

NOw that is sweet!  I love to watch superspeedways, but there isn't anything that is better than good Saturday night short track racing!

1/3 mile, wow, thats a short circuit, but prob great fun to watch!

Yeah, it's pretty neat.  I don't understand too much.

Note: The newest episode of Top Gear may be the best ever.

I'll have to check out that Top Gear epi.

Racing is fun, but the more names you know, themore fun it gets.  Just like any sport, if you don't know anyone, it takes a lot of the excitement out of it, and its just guys going around in a circle.  Get a fav driver, and watch him beat and bang his way through the field, maybe take out the driver you don't like, and its great fun!!

Man, it was British Top Gear vs. German Top Gear, takign place in Belgium (Where English and Germans traditionally settle their differences).  UK Top Gear arrived in Spitfires.

I have really enjoyed reading Per's Wacken thread, it got me thinking..... us North American members should try to meet up maybe sometime next year for whatever lame thing that passes for a festival like that around here. We could try and find some geographically central location to make it as easy as possible for everyone to get as big of an attendance as possible. Of course, I realize it would be much more difficult around here as (landmass wise) North America could eat Europe for a light snack.

Well, who would we invite?  Myself, yourself, Wasted, SMX, Onhell, GK, and Natalie if it happens when she's in school.  cornfedhick can come too.  In fact, if he does...let's see.

I live in Antigonish, NS.  He lives somewhere in California. Let's say LA.  That's about 5000 kms between us as the crow flies.  I think that puts the appropriate midpoint in the Metal Capital of the United States: Des Moines, Iowa.

Hey, that would be great!  Thats only 250 miles from my house (lets see, 250 X 1.6= 400km).  Its a party in Wasted's back yard!!!!  What about PG, what ever happened to her?  (I'm trying to think of other NA fans here...)

Might as well let it be at your place, then.  But it all depends.  Toronto might be a decent place, and so might many others.

We should all get together and go to Disney World!

There are some good places to go and hang out... They just had lollapalooza (sp?) in Chi-town, that could be fun.

Des Moines??? Yecch.

I have a better idea.
Come to Denver on Saturday August 23. Come to a bar called G.I. Jodi's (Google it for their site and directions). There's a great band playing there that night.

Yeah, I totally dig that... it is yucky.

Denver, however, sounds like fun.

Hell, we could all get together and go to DC in Jan!  (ok, yucky, also)

Some one was talking about that show at work today. Every time Top Gear is on, I never seem to watch it. I have no excuse though - I could set it to record every time its on, but I haven't even done that!

I've only seen a few epi's, but LC has turned me onto some good ones.  Hit youtube, and look up some; the one where they took autos and made them float across the channel was pretty good.

I saw that one where they went across the channel. I still think the best one was when they were in Alabama!
