@LC-- Thanks for the tip!  I'm gonna be getting my own computer at the first of the week, so I'll be adding that and IM on it.

@Invader-- That is some quality tune-age that you got to hear there!  It was a 'over the air' channel?

Yes.  It was a program where the DJ picks some little-played albums and plays many songs from it.  I tuned in halfway in, though, so I probably missed several more Maiden songs from Dance of Death and The X Factor.  I'm pretty sure the DJ picked Maiden albums now because the gig was three days away. ;)

I'd swear that's the only time I'll ever hear Paschendale over a normal commercial Finnish radio, though.

I was just watching The Colbert Report, and they had Rush on!  That was so cool!  They did a Q & A, and then played Tom Sawyer.

So, another day another spam. This time it's one of those emails stating that this email should be forwarded on to as many people as possible and Microsoft will keep tabs on it. They will give you $250 for every person you forward it on to. And in turn, for every person that forwards on your forwarded email, you will get another $200.

Within a few weeks, Microsoft will be in contact with you and ask for your address - and send you a cheque.

Now, I ask you again - are we really that gullible?

What's more impressive is the fact that after 33 years of spurning advances from American Television, they contacted The Colbert Report and chose them.

before I was reading the whole spam no matter how many pages I had missed
now, I'm just rolling the mouse down

Now, that I didn't know.  I came in on the bit a little late, and I'm hoping to catch the full skit this afternoon.

Have a praise from me as well Jesus0725, a worthy start indeed.

Let's see...... hmmm, yeah, piss some people off!

The Colbert Report sucks!

Is that what Jesus would do?  Wonder what H would do?

Wow, I feel the sting all the way over here!  But only slightly-- good thing my 'give a damn' is broke!

Two members of Rush (Geddy and Alex) have previously done voice cameos on Aqua Teen Hunger Force. (Along with other noteworthy musicians like Glenn Danzig, Zakk Wylde and Ted Nugent.) But ATHF didn't use Rush's music, so that is probably a first.

Another Adult Swim cartoon, Harvey Birdman, had an episode which parodied the color-coded terror alerts used by bushco. They had several levels above Red Alert, such as Plaid Alert - with the highest alert level being Moving Pictures Alert, where the "color" was the Rush album cover.

I guess he would either:
  • Pick up his guitar and play something completely out of this world
  • Go have a beer with Davey
  • Go fishing

But since H can not be comprehended by mortal men, we can never know, can we?

In regards to that (parodies), did South Park do a show playing Rush's 'Tom Sawyer'?  At the concert, there was a South Park cartoon skit, with Cartman playing Geddy.  I didn't know if it was something special for the tour, or if it actually aired on South Park.

I must admit, that is what I do at times. Can we really be expected to read several pages of spam if we don't log on for a few days?

It is not only expected - it is required!

If I find out there are people posting in this thread who haven't first read all 508 pages, I'm going to spank them.

Damn, I shouldn't have skipped page 227. :halo:

I first read the whole damn thread backwards, it's far more entertaining that way.

OK, the Colbert Report doesn't suck, but I never watch it though. However, speaking of Adult Swim, I simply adore Robot Chicken.  :)
