There were lots of people who've been around forever and surely no longer appeal to their target age group. Then there were these brand new artists I'd never heard of but all sounded alike.
 
Did anyone else ever see that "how rock and roll grew up" talking heads piece? I really though Maiden deserved a mention - they've bucked every single trend and avoided every single pitfall that was mentioned.
 
A friend of mine is desperate to get me to sing in his new heavy/thrash band. I've said multiple times that I have absolutely no skill or experience in singing but he just replies "the only thing that matters is the amount practice". Yeah, it would be cool but...I just can't.

Im basically game for anything. My own band is slow so all I do is sing and write and sing and write and at some point it’s gotta come out. :p
