Does anyone have any recommendations for antivirus software? I'm looking into getting a new laptop (with a proper hard drive this time!) and unsure whether I should bother with antivirus this time. My previous experience is that they slow computers down a lot.

Disclaimer : I still use Windows 7 because I don't need to keep up with Windows but I like games. I don't try out, install programs on it, use cracked software en mass, go to porn sites, eg. hygienic usage of the system. The Microsoft Security Essentials thing works. Again I'll stress that I don't need any sort of cutting edge protection from hot new Windows virii, however with pedantic usage I can recommend MSE fully.

Assuming the laptop runs Windows 10, you don't need one. Windows Defender has improved a lot since 2015, I never had any problems with it since 2017, and it was named one of the most efficient antiviruses of 2018 by several publications.

I never got a live debut with my band. Couldn’t get all the pieces together. I played with my high school pep band though. Had a guitar solo in a large crowd at one of our basketball playoff games though. Crowd was probably 1500 maybe? Does that count lol?

Doesn't the forum only show one inline ad if you aren't logged in? In any case I've disabled the blocker on the site, looks same to me...
More on this - uBlock blocks 4 requests if it's turned on for this forum. Google and Twitter tracking, and what look like two requests on Google's Ad network however they're not rendered through the DOM. Each script injects non-visible elements in the tree, 0px iframes and visibility:none divs. This is tracking code only. LC you sure that this is actually profitable?
