I feel a bit guilty when hearing about others applying for their master's course. In my case, I went to my institute months after registration ended and asked, "you guys cool with me starting my MA this semester?" - "Yup, glad to have someone taking it this year."

Of course, there was some drama preceding it involving an MA application abroad, but I don't need to revisit that now.
