Can someone please explain to me how atheism is a toxic lifestyle, atheists = abusers, and worshiping the devil is better than believing in the absence of an afterlife?

I mean technically anyone who doesn't believe the religion of Jesus Christ Almighty is Pagan, right? It seems to have boiled down to "well I don't believe in the God of the Bible but I believe there is a 'god' or something out there, what do I do... hey! I'll be pagan!"

I can't, I don't think that's true, and well, I don't really think the final one is true either.

I'm sceptical about whether paganism is actually a religion.
It's more like...a catchphrase for a bunch of individualistic belief systems. Seems to vary from person to person.

No, I'm talking to a pagan who thinks that any atheist is invalidating her religion just by existing.
That's silly. Just tell her that her argument is as silly as a three year old demanding something at the store for no reason.

Basically I've kept restating that "saying that atheism is toxic is invalidating my beliefs system as much as if I started attack you for being Pagan," which seems to be the only language she understands because she... seems... to have calmed down about it.

And apparently she had a very traumatic childhood so she's "entitled" to her beliefs because atheism is connected to something very bad that gives her flashbacks and fml.

Everyone's entitled to their beliefs. That's why it's considered a basic human right. Me being an atheist doesn't, in any way, stop her from believing what she wants...and if it did, then clearly her faith isn't very deep.

I probably kinda could, but I doubt you'd want to hear it.

atheists = abusers

Eh... this one's tougher, though I probably could find a philosophical/theological rationalisation, but it'd be long and - again - nothing you probably wanna hear

worshiping the devil is better than believing in the absence of an afterlife

o_O Did the same person make these claims?

Oh, NOW I see.

That's actually a huge problem today. People do not look at belief and religion as a fulfilment of one's destiny and a challenge to be a better person, they just want reassurance and self-confirmation.

Exclusively? How do you approach soft sciences?

Because economy, as important as it is in our everyday lives, is unverifiable this way.
You probably couldn't even describe a fucking purchase of goods in terms of hard sciences, because the people doing the purchase might just as well be just dancing or voting or having an argument.

(meaning "transition of ownership" pretty much cannot be proven, if you know what I mean)
(yeah, that's mainly F. A. Hayek and his approach against scientism, but anyway)
