Getting into new music (or caring about music in general) was very low on my list of priorities for this year, and I'm actually only now getting around to listening to the releases of the year. This far, I don't actually think I've been missing out.
I don't listen to music on the PC very much these days because there's something up with the external speakers and the monitor has no built in speakers (can't play Rocksmith either - bummer). My Last.fm most listened so far this year is mostly Maiden and Sabaton. Offline I've been mostly listening to Iced Earth and Dark Avenger.
I just want to send you a bundle of my used electronics. I have all sorts of good stuff in there and it sounds mostly like upgrades.
I think it's something to do with the monitor being connected to the PC via a graphic card I put in myself. It worked fine on my old monitor because that had speakers. Paul's monitor doesn't have speakers so we use plug in external speakers. They work fine with Youtube etc, but not with Windows Media Player and not with some games. Either that or all the music files I have on my PC are corrupting. :/
You probably need to set the default audio device to HDMI?
I've just read through the first Eddie comic and it taught me something very interesting about myself:
I actually don't have the patience to look at pictures
I'm flying to the US on Saturday and as public transport is not exactly amazing over there I'll have to use taxis a few times. This is fine if I'm at an airport where they'll be queuing up waiting for passengers or at a a hotel where reception can easily call for one, but less easy if I arrive at a greyhound station at 11:30PM. Thanks for the convenient timings America! So it looks like the best thing for me to do will be to download the Uber app in spite of my reservations with the company. I have a basic understanding of how it works: you open up the app and tell it where you want to go then the driver comes to get you, but can you book a ride in advance from a particular location?
My playlist would mostly consist of the Phone Losers Of America Snow Plow Show.
This happened only 3 miles from where I live at an intersection I drive through frequently (luckily I am out of town this week)
Just witnessed a murder in the fishtank at my house. Watched as the ray choked another tankmate to death.
Well, and as the Tom Waits survivor is already underway, some weird combination of Murder in the Red Barn and Fish in the Jailhouse has been playing in my head since I've read that post.
Death toll up to four fish now. Either we have a serial killer on the loose or something's terribly wrong about the fishtank.
Anybody know the film term for a shot like this? I've seen it in horror movies (Jaws, Night of the Living Dead) where someone's face gets closer but the background moves further away.
Alright, found everything about it.
Just had to think of this tweet:
Except that in my case, it would read, "before I had to use my company's shitty computer system, I didn't even know there was a wrong way to type a hyphen."
And what "way" would that be?
This is amazing!!
They did Trooper as well:
Separate names with a comma.
