Both those songs are in a similar bracket for me. I rarely, if ever, put either on intentionally but if either comes on the radio, my initial feeling of 'not again' is transformed into a period of i tense focus which is itself then transformed to rampant air guitar round whatever room I happen to be in. Bohemian Rapsody is the same. It usually entails singing the wrong line for 90% of it too

I do the same with some songs or albums .. I played them so much when they came out, I put them on the back shelf .. then might listen to it a bit later and wonder why I am still not playing it all the time.

Even with Maiden .. I burnt out on TFF for example ... gave it a spin when the albums were released on black vinyl and it just struck me again how fucking good that album is.

Exact same RE TFF. Didnt get the vinyl put played it recently for the first time in ages and it went up a notch in my estimation. Same with No Prayer too recently.

I just got Spotify. First tune is Brave New World from Rock In Rio.
Now the missus won't be put out by me polluting her Discover Weekly with all manner of brilliant tunes.

The aftermath of Cold Dave is officially over.

I was able to do 3000m on the treadmill in 15min, directly after doing squats ... and after running 9km yesterday.

I'm glad to be back.

Got the root canal done. Fourth time I've had it, so it was fine. Not wearing sunglasses during the day screwed me over though, eyes went bloodshot.

Mathematics is to the intellect what music is to the ears.

I mean, when you reach a new understanding in mathematics it's just like when you hear a particularly fulfilling passage of music.

OK, I'm a geek, but still ...

That's a surprise to me. Can you describe general relativity in 3 sentences, even though you're no physicist (which would make you a real scientist :)) ? Zare tried with pinching plastic bags.
No. I know that butterflies don't cause hurricanes though.
Well, I managed to buy my Testament ticket today. I mean, Testament, supported by Annihilator and Vader....for £20 odd. Friggin bargain.
The London show in the Koko?

50-50 night. Pub was great and they played like 10 Maiden songs, including like 5 in a row, both classic and reunion era :o

But my friend got drunk way too fast and was behaving like a moron, plus I wasn't planning on drinking more than 2 beers because I have to go somewhere tomorrow and didn't want to get a hangover. So I bailed early.
