Oddly enough, I just bought a 72 pack of pencils and an electric sharpener yesterday.

I'm pretty sure they're cheaper to produce, so some underground music communities have a tape trading thing going on. You can hand out vouchers for band camp downloads, but I suppose someone is more likely to listen to a physical product if they have a tape deck in their car (and many still do). So I can understand it from that angle, but paying $15 for a repress of Purple Rain on cassette is the goofiest thing I've seen in awhile.I'm sure they know what it is though. Even small bandcamp artists are releasing things on cassette again.
