I was nearing the end of an hour-long ride. I neared a crossing where the bicycle track crosses the road, and slowed down in case an approaching car wasn't intending to stop.

Well, the car stopped. Because another cyclist decided he would overtake me and disregard the car completely ...

I overtook him again a minute later, as he found the subsequent uphill section heavy ...
