Freezing rain here. Days like today I work from home, no matter what my stupid ass boss might want.
 
When there's freezing rain, everyone who can should work from home. Less traffic makes it easier for the emergency services to get to the inevitable accidents :D

I take the bus, which would be running regardless. It's more that I don't want to be involved with the inevitable accidents...
 
Speaking of that, I had to turn and take another way on Sunday when driving back from my Christmas holiday. An ambulance and some cars had stopped and the road was blocked. I found out later that it was a light motorcycle that had crashed.

Who in their right mind drives a motorcycle when the temperatures have just dropped from above to below freezing?
 
I once found out on the granite staircase outside the place I was living. It was nearly impossible to see the ice. It was a hard landing, but fortunately I didn't break anything.
 
5 yrs ago everything was frozen and I was walking down a street listening to Megadeth without fucks given. To cut the story short I found myself landing from mid air on my back so hard and precise that it literally blew the whole air out of my lungs.

I used to take old margarine tubs & fill them with cheap orange juice made from concentrate. I'd then put these in the freezer...

To cut a long story short: I made my own ice lollies.
