Oh noooo! Great, now my enjoyment is completely RUINED!!! Thank you really much, Foro. Where can I sell the tickets? Who would want to go to a concert knowing a single song that was played earlier on the tour, ammirite?

:ninja:

Yeah me too. Yesterday, Maverick (ex-member of this forum and owner of The Iron Maiden Commentary) brought this picture to my attention. For a better version, see here: http://www.metal-archives.com/albums/Forostar/Tales_of_Old/377328 -> click on picture

Apparently, this particular Forostar is a Canadian death metal band. I checked one of their songs from their only album Tales of Old (2013), and it's not bad! Only pretty badly (self?) produced.

Does a Canadian death metal band sort seem ironic? I mean, it's hardly a grim place to bred that sort of band.

I've promised a thorough explanation - we don't have internet connection so far, but the hotel we've been at does so...

We (me + my wife) have had a serious disagreement with my in-laws (the parents of my dearly beloved) so we decided to move out. Yes, the two-generation living does not work. Of course, it was not a simple decision and it was not a "clean" decision as well - in the past three weeks my in-laws have been emotionally blackmailing my wife ("Oh, come on, you can't leave us now" ... "This is going to be our worst failure ever!!!"... "You MUST stay!!!") which did not make the decision any easier... We have picked a flat that's to our liking and it's somewhat interesting one at that - the bloke who made it is a refugee from Cuba, so the flat is very ... Spanishy/free/colourful etc., but on the other hand it's on a ground floor, so we have many cars passing our windows. But me and my wife still love it. Still no internet, though...

Hope it works out. Family angst can make thing so difficult.

It does, indeed. So far, we are both very relieved, because for the first time we are actually living our own lives. Not having anyone else to "approve", not having anyone else to tell us whether we are wasting our time by going to a cinema or whatever... It's just us two and it's the most amazing feeling. Even my wife, who used to be very parent-dependent has appreciated the change - she does not like their surveillance anymore. So we're both much happier, even though many aspects are still "hard-way" so far...

P. S. - yes, according to our in-laws, we were wasting our time by going to a cinema. By going to a coffee house to have a capuccino. Unless you were at work (and then, you were not a real human if you did not do manual labour, according to my father-in law) or taking care of the "farm", you were a wanna-be-human, in fact.

Sounds familiar. When I was moving few years ago, my grandma suggested we throw out all the books because they are a waste of time (and space).

In honor of that:

FREEDOM!

What's the funniest thing... the arguments and the way my in-laws were trying to keep us there (especially my wife) was so similar to Pink Floyd's Don't Leave Me Now it was not even funny. It was haunting, indeed.

Yes, including the analysis: http://www.thewallanalysis.com/dont-leave-me-now/
Sometimes you realise how many things there are you can interpret in so many ways...

P. S. - Also my 1800th post :D
