What else would it sound like? :p

Turkish basketball terminology is pretty much identical to American basketball terminology. A couple of examples, with American one on left and Turkish one on right:

Rebound - Ribaund
Assist - Asist
Block - Blok
Pick'n roll - Pick'n roll
Isolation - Isolation
Travelling - Steps
Fast break - Fast break
Dribbling - Dribbling
Coach - Koç (Same pronounciation)

So yeah, not exactly different. I actually even use the American versions of height and weight when I'm writing.

Question, Flash: How many other Turkish basketball blogs are there, and what are you doing to promote yours?

Not a lot of them. Ones that are out there are mostly news based, while mine is almost entirely commentary / analysis.

I used to write a blog entirely dedicated to young players with NBA potential and it was generating decent traffic for a blog without any promotion. One of the biggest basketball news sites in here recently approached me and we currently have a little partnership going, they publish my writings (the ones I choose) on their site with my name and blog address on it. But it's yet to reach the traffic of my old blog. Nowhere near, actually. The old one would get at least 50 hits per post, this one barely gets 5 hits per post.

3/4 of all bands for Cheesevivör II: The Revenge of the Unicorn (24 of 32) have already been determined. The level of cheese is being upped a notch or two, and there have been several moments in my research so far that left me staring in disbelief.

To get you hyped a little more, there will be one song in the game called Die Mermaid!

The English verb.

And I just found some more amazing stuff that will blow your brains out.

So, the draft for the Cheesevivör is complete, 32 new brands of cheese are waiting in eight battalions. Only two months to go. :D

Is it all unicorns and mermaids, or did you get some of that 80s cheese too?

If you mean in terms of hair/sleaze/cock, no. I decided to continue the theme from the last game for this one. I will do an 80's Cheesevivör eventually, after this one probably. But I really need to dig into that topic first.

I just looked at the calendar and Perun is correct. Exactly two months to go.

My game eliminates 4 songs per day, but once we reach the Sweet Sixteen there will start being breaks as I let the polls run four days. The first such day that I won't be posting a new round is June 20, so I suggest Perun start then. My game will have a few more 4-day polls to finish (top 8, top 4, final 2), but the every-day activity ends June 19.
