Make that anything composed by Koji Kondo. The man is the Bach of video game music. Even if the game is no good, the music is always awesome.

And as far as atmospheric game music goes, I gotta hand that title to Super Metroid.

Chrono Trigger is the best RPG ever made.
Here's a vote for the original Dungeons and Dragons. Not the video game. The one where you and a bunch of friends sit around a table, get stoned, and play for hours. Nerdy, yes, but fun as hell.

I did enjoy Knights of the Old Republic too. Never played the Chrono stuff.

The best video game music is in the Grand Theft Auto games (III and after).
