A decent Lamb Madras with rice, a peshwari naan and some poppadoms to scoop up the lime pickle.....heaven. :D

He said, stick by my side and Ill be your guiding hand
But dont ask me what I think of you

it must be '68 or '69 -I think '68, I have the original vinyl single stocked in my mother's house

it is one of my very rare pieces !  B)

...the version "oh well II" which is the B-side of Oh well is extremelly difficult to be found, to tell you the truth I've NEVER saw it in any compilation or any Fleetwood Mac's best of

I hate botany.  And statistics.  Combined together in one supremely tedious field trip in the back-end of nowhere...

At least I'm back.

Zoology for the win...I don't care if it's easier to count the plants than capture rabbits, damnit!  Grow some balls and start running after the buggers!

Talking of Fleetwood Mac (and in particular, Peter Green), I was and never have been a fan of the band, although my judgement was purely based on the single releases they have amassed over the years. Then I watched a documentary on the late Bobby Moore and they played this rather fitting song towards the end of the programme whilst showing footage of him. It was such a brilliant piece of music with great lyrics and really captured how I felt at that moment. The untimely death of Bobby Moore was so sad and this piece of television so poignant.

The music was Man of the World by Peter Green. And the opening line of Reincarnation of Benjy..... reminded me of this ones opening line.

As a footnote, Bobby Moore is the most famous person I've meet. :D

A version of Man of the World (a cover, perhaps) was used for one of the DOE Don't-drink-and-drive campaigns...that's about all I can think about when hearing it (never knew it was by the Mac, though).

OK, so we have a choice here.....

The greatest piece of music to come out of the 70's (and I really do mean greatest) - July Morning by Uriah Heep. We have a choice of good sound over the original singer. So what do we choose? Singer or sound.

What do I think? Well, the original vocalist was so superior but he is let down by his inability to remember the second verse - but the feel of the song is there. The second singer has a good set of lungs (he manages the high notes), he gets the feel of the song and is backed up by a good recording - but he is not David Bryon. Bugger it, both are worth a listen - you choose.
