Well it was quite frustrating. The first goal was from a goalkeeping calamity and the second was a ridiculous bit of luck. United also hit the frame of the goal twice.

Embankments are done on all risky spots in the city, so we're safe for the time being. River Sava (which is less than 1km away from my building) is supposed to reach its maximum water level on Wednesday, supposedly. I can safely say the city's gonna avoid the flooding, which is not surprising; they can't let it flood, since all the people evacuated from other parts of the country are brought to Belgrade. So they will continue building the embankments until it's certain that the crysis is over. Basically every sports arena, conference hall or any building with a lot of space is being used to house the evacuated people. Luckily, there was no rain in Belgrade today.

Saw a wee bit of coverage of it on the news over here, NP. Although, incredibly, that fucking "cat saves wee boy from crazy dog" story/footage that I posted a few days back in Funny/Random/Weird was on the BBC News at 10 o'clock!

Croatia's hit too. Good news is that volunteers from all 3 countries are helping each other. All shopkeepers who raised prices of water, food and other important stuff are being arrested.

Lots of looting in Obrenovac (city that's been hit the most by the flooding; population about 50 thousand), rescue teams saw lights in abandoned powerless buildings :( Dead animals and people in the water... Luckily, some good people organized a search to save smaller animals, but it's next to impossible to save bigger animals that are too heavy for boats... New problems will arise when the water recedes. Everything has to be disinfected.

Don't know how much you know about it, but I've heard all this flooding has washed out some old plastic landmines, and being plastic they float... and are being spread all over :/
