But are you willing to suck up to the IOC guys enough? Public support for Oslo's application for the 2022 Winter Olympics has taken a nosedive lately (the decision about whether to apply or not will be taken later this year).
 
I watched one of the speed skating finals earlier and I've decided that I don't think the rules are fair. On the first lap a British woman took out two other skaters which allowed the woman who was in last at the time (and looking detached) to win by nearly a lap. The British woman finished second but was disqualified which I can understand because the crash was her fault but her disqualification sort of made the race irrelevant. Perhaps restarting the race after such an early crash with the skater responsible given a one-time-only warning would be better. I think that would maintain the integrity of the race and its result and keeping the race as a spectacle.
 
Canadian announcers just called the Russian hockey team "The big red machine". They wear red sometimes, yeah...but I'm guessing that's not what they were alluding to.

They played a song, "The Trooper" by a band called Iron Maiden. I dunno, maybe you've heard it. Anyway they played it between plays.
 
It's a song about a Russian killing an Englishman, I'm sure you could find a way of saying it fits in a game of Russia against Canada...
