.. and am hoping to visit Chicago the weekend of Jan 4 for a playoff game if the Bears can win next weekend

o_O I hope you get to visit, but based on that farce last night I don't like your chances.

We were all geared up to go out to eat tonight and the stupid place is closed Mondays (who the fuck does that anymore) ... so looking for plan B.

I despise when restaurants do that. I've understood the "closed on Sundays" thing my whole life, but there is a recent trend for places to be closed on Monday and it's just obnoxious.

It sucks .. I already had what I wanted picked out ... deciding between two new places (for me) ... a French place or New American fusion (or whatever they call taking traditional dishes and changing them slightly)
Yeah ... Bears really need to step it up.

hmmm .. wonder if I should open the attachments to this email?

I felt like German food, there are 4 places around here that are good .. all 4 are closed. Yeah, it is not like I am going to starve, but had my heart set on it

Hey guess what, I still have a Christmas gift to buy. Am I not an expert in maximising the difficulty level of things?

I am very shit at buying Christmas presents. Went in to town one day this week to get the whole lot done - I have about a dozen people to buy stuff for. I got home having bought only one item, a book for myself. In the end I just ordered a load of stuff off the internet instead.

I understand! I wonder what the German restaurants are like in the US??, no such thing here....unless I actually travel to Germany.

There are some that are really good. There are a lot of German towns/areas in Texas. A few still have German street signs (more touristy now, but they were put up when the towns were mostly German speaking).
