So you are working towards a goal and you have what it takes to do it.

I have PE tomorrow but I don't have what it takes. Will get a bad mark. I'll be sure to talk to my teacher in private if this is going to continue though. It's not fair:

Person 1: is usually absent from the lesson, but if present then doesn't attend the activities because of some stupid excuse (finger hurts, oh mommy tell the teacher I can't do PE again). Gets above average mark.
Person 2 (me): tries to be good but fails. At least doesn't surrender, does what he's capable of. Gets below average mark.

You might not need to become a brilliant athlete or the best player. If talking to your teacher means he tells you how you can achieve a better mark - or he realises you really are trying your best - then you could achieve it.

Anyway, my dream last night was about going to see 30 Seconds to Mars...dressed as a squirrel. Answers on a postcard, please.

I hope it does. I'm not going to talk to him yet but I just can't get a "3" as a period mark (equivalent of "D" in the US?). I have great results in every other subject so this is ruining.

@Perun I just watched a TV program about the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. It turns out that they weren't in Babylon at all, but were in Nineveh, now Mosul in modern day Iraq. The water was drawn from the Zagros mountains, about 100 km away, via a canal system.

I watched that as well. Didn't really prove anything though. It did show a massive canal system that was a major feat of engineering but still didn't actually prove that is where the hanging gardens were. I always feel let down by that type of program as they always promise a lot and deliver very little. Maybe one day people will get to properly excavate the site and prove one way or the other. Here's hoping....

Good morning, world!

@Black Wizard: That sounds interesting, but not particularly convincing. The ancient scribes were well aware of the difference between Babylon and Niniveh.
