45 for the movies (seen the entirety of it), and I can't take the list seriously because it has Life of Pi on it. There's probably about another 70 that I've seen a decent chunk of the movie as well.

And only 8 of the books. Guess I need to read a few more of them.

14, here.

Shocking to see Jim Butcher's "Furies of Calderon" on the list, especially since it's (IMO) so much weaker than every other book in the series.

I find it a bit difficult to accept however, that the list has no Lem and no Lovecraft in it.

Indeed! The lack of Lovecraft is ridiculous. I guess he was more known for his horror work, but the latter half of his stories are primarily (great) science-fiction.

I'm filling out an application form for an Christmas temp job at the moment and one of the questions is "What does Health & Safety in the workplace mean to you?" Any thoughts on how I should answer this?

I'm thinking something like acting responsibly, following the rules and not taking unnecessary risks.

I've read 15 of the sci-fi books mentioned. Not a big cinema fan so my performance on the other one would be awful.

Seen 36 movies from that list. If I counted the ones I vaguely remember (seen them a long time ago and forgot the plot), I'd be close to 100.

Funny thing about computers. I set up 10 identical towers. I made a 'clone' of the setup, and pushed it to the machines. Yet, once you fire up the newly cloned PC, they each have different updates needed and have different weirndness to fix. One the printer doesn't work, but it does on the other 9. One PDF viewer doesn't work.

Computers are fun. :)

55 on the movie list. Considering how rare it is for me to sit through a movie, I'm surprised.

Do you work in IT by any chance? That sounds like the kind of stuff the IT department at my last university had to deal with.
