People here have off tomorrow, our Easter is this weekend and 6 May is another holiday. Everyone else has a six-day holiday. I work throughout the whole week.

Noooo! I don't have tomorrow off. Monday is a bank holiday, but tomorrow is full on Wednesday work as always. And I'm working on Monday.

You mean that the day off is moved to the closest Monday?

At the moment, yes, but I think the current government wants to get rid of it and move the bank holiday to August

The end of August, yes. There used to be two in August, but Tony Blair moved one to the beginning of May

I guess 1st of May used to be the #1 public holiday in Eastern Europe, at least officially.

From an anthropological viewpoint, it's kinda interesting to watch a party disintegrate because two people get into a fight and draw everyone else into some kind of vortex of petty disagreements. From the viewpoint of someone who just wanted to have a good party, it's much less so.

Whatever, I'm still off tomorrow.
