After the first book, there was more 'action' in it, I guess. She said the third book was the best, because the sex was kinda muted out of it and there was a little more plot to it. I dunno.... I'm going back to my Elric books :)

Well to me 50 Shades ain't much different than some trashy romance story everyone of us could make up....OK so..Susan goes to the gym get fit and slim down. Her trainer Bruce offers to "motivate" her to trim her down....There...you've got another story :p Lets publish a novel.

I've been re-reading the Southern Victory series by Harry Turtledove again...next up is the new Jack Whyte book - The Guardians II - The Renegade. It's about Robert the Bruce.

Now that sounds interesting! I think I have something by Turtledove on my shelf, I should look at what that is.

Yeah, he was pretty mellow metal.

Jack Whyte is my favourite modern author. He is, in fact, the author my work is closest to. His first series, the Dream of Eagles Cycle (released in the USA as the Camulod Chronicles or some such shit) is just awesome. But his work has been...meh in some cases since then. Like some of the books are really, really great. Some of them are really, really...well, boring. The most recent one was one of the more boring. The first half was pretty good, but then it got pretty slow and I had troubles finishing. He also sometimes gets too clever when he's writing his fiction, and The Forest Laird was like that.

King Of The North. My dad gave that to me but I haven't read it. Is it good?

Also, I should check out Jack Whyte...sounds interesting.

It's a re-imagining of the Foundation Series in a high fantasy medieval setting. Kinda interesting, execution isn't great (but I'll say that about a lot of Harry Turtledove stuff). Southern Victory is my favourite by him, and The War That Came Early is realyl good.

Start with The Skystone. If you like that, it goes from there.

Civ IV BTS. And listening to Diamonds and Rust. Reading Wiki, posting here, watching Twitter, having a MSN and a SMS conversation with different people, oh reading up on Steubenville and I just quoted Henry IV Part II. Yeah. I'm a little too busy ;)

No man, it's the Priest version, which I've always loved.

You better bookmark those two vids Wallace before you forget...

I love new posters. I don't forget things. Foster Wallace commencement has already been committed to memory, to be recalled next time I've got 25 minutes. ;)
