One thing I don't get about the Star Wars madness is that noone makes a big deal about not having seen other fantastic movies as much as they do for Star Wars. If one says "I haven't seen The Shawshank Redemption" noone goes ahead and says "You're mad" or something like that. They say "You should" and that's all.

My computer decided to freeze when I was at "take a look at your last sky, guessing you won't have the time to cry ... ". What to do? Start BTATS all over again? Listen to another great song? Go to bed?

Screw that, I'm giving it another listen.

Shawshank Redemption is just a single film. Star Wars is an entire universe. There's so much more with it than just the movies.

Yeah, that's been my point about Lord of the Rings too.

But we're talking about the action of "having seen a film", not "having heard of a film". Star Wars is truly a big thing and probably everyone has heard of it. This accompanies with the fact that it's an entire universe. But not having seen it is totally fine and acceptable.

Same applies with Lord of the Rings which is a trilogy that I'm absolutely in love with and is in the vein of Star Wars in "creating its own universe".

How can you come up with such a line? I've always wondered about that.

I guess, some knowledge of proper trivia (like names of people involved in the development of the nuclear bomb) and an artistic mind.

And Travis: The best song of the album, I'd say. And a song well established among my top 10 Maiden songs.

Not really. The films are cool (even though Lucas stole as much as he could from other film makers), but the books and/or whatever came out of it isn't much to write home about.

Artistic mind is the key, I believe. We all know that E=mc2 but I've never imagined this being sung.

The forum is bustling with activity tonight and my reactions are slooooooow.

No I mean seeing the movies, and then experiencing all the things that come with it. Once you've seen Shawshank Redemption, besides the book, that's it. But once you've seen Star Wars, there's so much more to go with it. It's a multimedia monster. I'm not going to try to explain all of the reasons why you should see Star Wars and all the things that go with it, because that'd be pointless and a waste of time. I'm just pointing out that with Star Wars, there's more to it than just the films.

That's not to say those things don't exist. Also, that's an opinion, not a fact.

Austrian writer Robert Jungk was the guy who wrote a book called "Brighter Than a Thousand Suns : A Personal History of Atomic Scientists", the lyrics probably relate to him.

Action figures and computer games and other money sucking products. Toys. Artificial crap without depth.

... and Robert Oppenheimer was one of the main scientists behind the actual bomb. Pretty sure he's the "Robert" the lyrics relate to.

PS: Ah, Ariana beat me to it.
