Whilst there are some I don't know, and some I would have in drastically different areas (#1 for example :P) it's quite a varied list, yet still one with a lot of albums I am pleasantly surprised to see :) Devil You Know for one! I approve of #53 :P

Yea cool list, it's nice to see the Warlock album up there, that one is killer. Doro is a great singer.

Even if there was/is the odd "metalish" track in their catalogue, they are certainly no more metal than any of the other bands mentioned, if UFO etc are not to be classed as metal - theres no way Thin Lizzy are.
Thin Lizzy have the power and melody that is represented heavily in early metal. Sure they have their ballads too but so do other bands. I didn't realize how heavy Thin Lizzy was until seeing them live, they were just as heavy sounding as Judas Priest. (who they were opening for)

Also, do you think Iron Maiden's "The Fallen Angel" is metal? It's got a big Thin Lizzy influence, and just as heavy as something like "Emerald", in my opinion.

I don't know much Rush, Moving Pictures mostly, but that's more metal than Thin Lizzy in itself so again.. if you aren't calling Rush metal, how can you call Thin Lizzy?
I'd like to know how Moving Pictures is metal. I could maybe understand "Witch Hunt", but that's it.

The guitar tone is a lot softer than that of bands like Priest, or even UFO. As is the style of the music. Thin Lizzy broke up in 1983 and Lynott died in 1986, the current touring line-up is rather different.
Ballads? It's not a case of "They have a few ballads" ... although if you are referring to the fact I gave examples, well whaddya know it's just like you gave 2 examples and claimed that as a reason for them being 'metal'. Even if I was to agree that those 2 tracks were metal (I don't), that is by far the minority of Thin Lizzy's catalogue. Listen to the first 3 albums and tell me that's anything even close to metal, it's not a case of "There's some ballads" it's simply that that is actually a solid representation of the style they displayed throughout. Even though Emerald is a heavier track, the guitars still sound no heavier than say Highway to Hell, the heaviest they probably reached was on that album (Jailbreak) and that's borderline at best.

Yes, it is far more aggressive and quicker-paced than Thin Lizzy's material, the guitars are also a lot heavier in tone alone.

I can do that too.

YYZ alone is far more metal than anything TL have done, progressive it may well be but it still is far heavier.

You ever go to a concert, but mainly to see the opening acts? My dad and I might be going to Knotfest, but we're mainly interested in Prong, Gojira, and Cannibal Corpse and will leave during Slipknot if they don't impress us.

I'm going to see As I Lay Dying in Birmingham when I move down there. They are supporting Trivium who I no longer have any interest in so I'll probably leave before they come on. In 2006 I went to a Bullet for my Valentine show, although only because As I Lay Dying were supporting, and in 2008 I went to a show on the Taste of Chaos tour because, once again, As I Lay Dying were on the bill sub-headlining to Atreyu. Also, in 2007 I went to the Heaven & Hell tour in Glasgow only because Iced Earth were supporting but it was class to see Dio.

I have a drumstick of theirs and the first time I saw them I met Tim who was hanging out at the merch stand. I got my picture taken with him and I look like a little child because he is huge.

I swear that there hasn't been a morning that at least a router, a switch, a server or network connection hasn't gone down... what the hell?!

Job security, though my liver may not survive. :)

Dude, you are not kidding!! I like that there is always work, and I like that when I go home, I don't have to think about it any more.
