I am talking local council here, and on the most part it is non-partisan. But his reason for change is that the local Lib-Dems just seemed to be opposing for the sake of opposing.

Probably not the correct forum for this, but I can't wait for the day party politics is thing of the past.
Such a divisive force.

Agree to some extent. On a national level, it makes some sense that you vote for ideas and general directions rather than people. However, party politics are too often becoming more of a tactical game than it is about solving actual problems. And when important issues in society are discussed in a manner more similar to the arguing between fans of football rivals, the eventual solutions are often not the best.

I agree - but probably only to the same extent as EW. Locally, we need not have party politics at all. We elect local councillors to serve the community.

First skiing trip in Oslo after I moved here- 34 km - and now my shoulders are killing me. Might also have something to do with the fact that on Friday, I took up strength training again. I haven't lifted weights since July.

Man, it hurts.

So, there I was about to watch Half Blood Prince on DVD. Into the DVD player it goes and up pops the copyright crap and then the disc menu.

All I got was "Special features" and "Languages". Nothing close to "Play movie" - nothing. I was pressing buttons left right and centre, ejecting and re-loading the disc, going through all the options on the disc menu, anything I could think off but nothing let me play the damn movie.

I then went off googling anything that could relate to issues with the Blu-Ray DVD that people have found and didn't really find anything. So I put that disc back in it's case with the intention of returning it as faulty.....only to find the movie disc.

Idiot.
