That's exactly what my reaction was. I even found an interview with her mother from 2008 where she said that she didn't expect Winehouse to live past through the next year.

I don't get all the hate for When The Eagle Cries... I guess that lyrics are the main problem?

The song is cheesy, and the lyrics just kill it.

Amy Winehouse died. I hated her music and image, but it's still sad...

Colour me surprised. She killed herself, and everybody saw it coming. Except herself, apparently.

I want a law passed that no band can have more than two words in their name (not including the or and).
That's a good idea. Bands with long names are a turn off for me.

Wow, that took ages (5 years). Was it blocked by the US (US products first?)?

U.S. copyright law precludes unauthorized music sharing. So, music companies needed to work out the licensing arrangement (and monetization issues).  Now that they have done so, I'd love to try it out, especially since a couple of folks here say it's a good service, and it got a good write-up in the Wall Street Journal tech section.  I signed up for an invitation, but haven't received it yet.

I use it quite a lot. It's a good service, though I don't know what the music library looks like in the USA. Give it a try.

Thanks.  Apparently they have 15 million songs available.  That doesn't seem like chopped liver.

I don't care, and I don't want to care. all the American mainstream media is going to care about now, is a druggie who threw her life away, when there are innocent people dead in Norway.

But there not famous people so they don't count the killers  famous now so he'll get alot of air time.

I like long songs, so I think the longer songs are the best on the record.

Nah. I think they are perfect. It's not like AMOLAD where the songs (like Greater Good) were really repetitive and that made them long. There isn't any repetitiveness in TFF except for in the title track. WTWWB doesn't even have a chorus.

I'm listening to Isle of Avalon and it's a awesome song, don't get me wrong I loved the TFF. But songs like The Talisman and The Man Who would Be King just don't strike me as amazing songs.
