"Balance of Terror" and "City on the Edge of Forever" are both great moral conflict stories. The former is about how Kirk deals with a renegade Romulan; the latter involves Kirk going back in time and falling in love with a woman who is supposed to die.

I second Loosey's recommendations and add that I would call them the "best" TOS episodes.

Some others that touch moral issues are The Enemy Within, A Taste of Armageddon (a very typical post-World War II anti-war period piece) and Patterns of Force (which to my knowledge is still banned in Germany). Those are some of the episodes that impressed me the most. Re-watching all those episodes is another part of my shortlist "2535432 things that need to be done".

No, Chabel beats him hands down. Despite him being French. :D

I don't remember the title, but the one where Kirk 'goes crazy' and Spock has to use the 'Vulcan Death Grip' on him so they can steal the cloaking device from the Romulans.

This is freaky. I watched some videos of Kirk screaming "KHAAAAN!" on Youtube, then went out to the supermarket thinking I should watch The Wrath of Khan again one of these days. And then the name tag of the girl at the cashier said "Frau Khan".

Sometimes the universe speaks to us in weird ways.

I found some website to stream all episodes of Trek from, not too bad. Wish they would come to Netflix.

It's like, what, 3:30 there? Terrible thing to do.

I'm currently backing up someone's system. I can't stay out on the production floor as I do it, because people keep assuming I am a manager and ask me crazy questions.

Working until 7 PM today and afterwards I'll go directly to the pub to watch the Champions League match between Man Utd and Marseilles. And eat a burger. And have a couple of pints (not more! Had plenty to drink last week, my liver needs time to recover!)
