I just want to announce that I got my hands on the new Jack Whyte book today, "The Forest Laird", the first in a trilogy about William Wallace.

That bitch! I bet she has tattoos too! Lower back, a trademark "tramp stamp." I wouldn't be surprised if she drank. Careful! She might just want to use you for a one-night stand!

You Mexican-Americans call it "tramp stamp".  Canucks call it "slut spot".

I'd sign - a contract with the devil
I've tried - for so very long
I'd die - to become immortal
that's why I sing this song
Am I a wannabe? - have I no dignity.
Who'd give up all my life.. to be
In the book of heavy metal.. metal!
In the book of heavy metal

In life - I have no religion
besides the heavy metal gods
wear nothing but black skin tight leather
My skin's clad with Metal studs
Am I a wannabe? - have I no dignity.
I give up all my life to be..
In the book of heavy metal.. metal!
In the book of heavy metal

Some twenty years ago, the gods put down there feet,
So firmly in to the ground that no man of sword nor pen,
could ever change the rules upon which
The very fundament of metal was made.

Read all about it, in the book of heavy metal
Read all about it, in the manual
Read all about it, in the book of heavy metal
Read all about it
Don't need no flashy house, no kids/car or ugly wife
the only thing I want, is what my parents don't
need no widescreen TV, No in all honesty
the only thing I want to be (to be or not to be)

In the book of heavy metal - In life - metal!
In the book of heavy metal - to death - metal!

I've signed - a contract with the devil
I'd like to become a star
I'd die - to become immortal
That's why I play the guitar :edmetal:

I just re-installed XP for a buddy. SP1, so I'm downloading all the garbage drivers. I hate Dell restore disks.

Yeah, its a pain. HP restore disks work pretty well. Dell is just too generic, and you have to go through and select each driver. HP just does it for you.

The book is good so far. Jack Whyte is my favourite current author. This book is about William Wallace and how he becomes a legend in Scotland; but it goes a different way than Braveheart did. Braveheart (in this chronology) is the way that the Scots remember Wallace; the way he lived was similar to another legend, Robin of the Hood.

Is it? I've never restored my Mac.
Ya, because the include all the drivers for you. They have tons of printer drivers ready to go. One thing you want to do is un-select all the printer drivers you don't need though because it installs them all by default and un-selecting them saves on install time and HD space.

The last two Toshiba laptops I've brought have each got a restore disk that is an image of a complete installation. Nothing else is required other than reload image, then boot up.

Then, bearing in mind the age of the laptops and as such the image is only WinXP SP2, allow for shed loads of Microsoft updates. And a gazillion reboots.
