Legacy Of The Beast Post-Pandemic Leg

By the way, I read at the official fan club forum that it seems that they would also be playing in Zagreb and Budapest at the start of the tour (7th and 9th June, respectively; dates leaked by Lord of the Lost, one of the support acts).

Did the "leak" suggest that Lord of the Lost were doing every date or just some of them? If it's only some then maybe Zagreb and Budapest are not the only extra dates.

The Zagreb show is on Monday 7th June which probably rules out Download Festival. Iron Maiden would only play the Saturday or Sunday of Download and they probably won't be able to get all their people and equipment to Croatia in time to set up. I'm not too bothered as the Download 2021 weekend will probably be a washout and this year's weekend will have glorious weather. ::)

So Lord of the Lost are doing the central europe dates and Airbourne/ Within Temptation is doing Western Europe + Scandinavia (France, Holland, Sweden, Portugal Spain). Maybe keep an eye on Airbourne/ Within Temptation's social media for more "leaks" Rod will certainly be.

Looking at the dates, they play two gigs every Fri-Mon period except the weekend they are in Gothenburg. I wouldn't be surprised to see an extra date added that weekend.

Ok, so, when did they play same show in the same venue in 2 different years?
I don't know. Maybe they had an event planned for 2021 in Croatia or with the same promoter anyway and agreed to do Legacy of the Beast in Zagreb again to keep an agreement with the promoter. If you're going to look for clues and conspiracies in everything then you set yourself up for disappointment. You're already quite upset about the nature of the 2021 tour so it doesn't seem like a good idea getting overexcited about theoretical changes to the show. We had this with a couple of people for the 2019 dates and for the setlist in 2018. If the show changes then it changes, but it's not worth obsessing over for the next 13 months.

I'm not expecting anything and to tell the truth... I will probably be excited to see Maiden again in 2021. Be it the exactly the same show or not. I saw LOTB 5 times, so... Let's just say that I would prefer some changes. However, I understand that IM are probably rescuing some promoters from going broke because of this COVID shit and you can't just rebrand something you already sold tickets for. So... I'm not as excited to see LOTB yet again, since the time for IM as a touring entity is running out, but I'm always excited to se Maiden. So LOTB 2021 it is.

I'm not expecting any changes. But 2 or 3 different songs would be nice.

Agreed. Realistically, I expect no changes to the setlist. But if it emerges that their plans for 2021 after the Paris gig is not a continuation of LOTB, which looks very likely, then it's quite possible that they might change what their plans for the LOTB leg 3 set list are, as by that stage we will firmly be in album promotion stage.

I do not think they would play at Download next year. Realistically they could only do it on the Friday and would need to add several shows before that date as there is no way Maiden would play such a high profile gig without some warm up shows, especially after such a long hiatus.

Which is what I said too. :p
