Judas Priest

All of you are wrong about everything you are saying. I know that you are wrong because it is my opinion. If you want proof, here is proof: Judas Priest is the biggest band in both sales and reputation and radio hits.

Holy cow. That's huge! Maiden have probably never played such a number on the European continent. This was on August the 3rd, Pol'and' Rock Festival (Kostrzyn, Poland).

With attendance expected to be around 900,000 over the whole festival, we heard rumours of up to around 250,000 #metalmaniacs out there tonight for the Priest at #Poland @polandrockfestival .No official numbers yet but there were maniacs as far as the eye could see. Definitely my biggest gig ever. Thanks to our polish #priestfamily for a night I know I’ll never forget. RHRF DOTF #judaspriest #firepower #firepowertour2018 #metalgods #heavymetal

Since you quoted yourself here, can I just point out that Pol'and'Rock Festival (known as Woodstock before 2018) is a free entry festival and always has attendances in the hundreds of thousands? I know people who've been going there for years and weren't drawn by any particular bands, or genres for that matter. Not saying there couldn't have been that many dedicated Priest fans in the audience, just saying this isn't your standard type of festival, and if Maiden played there, we would probably be speaking about similar numbers.

Only popular metal bands may headline such a fest.

My point was not to compare with Maiden. For historical reasons, it was in the original post, but now it was used to respond to BW's opinion. Context people, context.

No more tears, no more UK tour. In 2019 that is.

We all wish Ozzy a really speedy recovery and hope he's back to 100% health very soon - the Ozzy/Judas Priest UK/European leg will be rescheduled in 2020 and as soon as everything is in place we will be announcing the dates....

What a fucking joke! British Steel my arse!

I guess supporting Ozzy is their only chance they'll get to play the venues Maiden have been headlining for ages (to be fair, their contract with Ozzy probably prevents them from playing in those territories until the Ozzy tour is over).

Pretty bad situation for Priest i'd say. If they have to sit on their hands for the rest of the year. Maybe they can get some summer festival shows in. Also, who knows how Ozzy's health is in 2020? Not even sure the tour will happen then.

But will Priest change the setlist for this hypothetical 50th anniversary tour?
