I never really argued about this. Just made a mistake. All tongue in cheek though, not too serious I hope.

The latest issue of Planet Rock contains a new interview with Kenny, in which he appears as his usual (bitter?) self, putting forward the same arguments regarding his decision to leave the band we have already read/heard elsewhere. That being said, he also says some things that I do not remember him telling before: asked about his contribution to the band he says that he would give more than he would take and, when pressed to talk about other band member's contributions to Judas Priest, he mentions that Rob would be ready to give more than he was willing to take, but that Ian Hill would take more than he would give.

I had the San Bernardino 1983 DVD playing while I was reading the interview and watched something that caught my attention. One of Kenny's most repeated criticisms of Glenn has been his drinking before gigs. What is Glenn doing right before they go on stage in 1983? He's drinking a beer! Perhaps things got out of hand in their twilight years, but I found that somewhat ironic.

Another nugget from Kenny's Planet Rock magazine interview: he feels that the live performances since 2003 suffered as a result of Rob being more static due to him needing an autocue to read the lyrics. He also criticises some of the clothes Rob was wearing on the last few tours Kenny did with the band. He wishes he would have told Rob something about it.

K.K. DOWNING Says It Was 'Wrong' Of JUDAS PRIEST Not To Invite Him To Rejoin Band -> http://www.blabbermouth.net/news/k-...udas-priest-not-to-invite-him-to-rejoin-band/ | and he talks about many other things in this link too.

"I didn't mean to cause any controversy or any trouble or anything, but I was disgruntled, really," Downing said about his original statement (hear audio below). "I mean, I said I was shocked and stunned that they didn't ask me to step in when there was a position, because if I had said, 'No. I'm not able to do it,' for whatever reason, at least it would have been good for them. They could say, 'Well, we asked K.K., because we understand that the fans have a voice too. The fans are responsible for our success. The fans have been loyal to us for 40 years. The fans also have a voice and an opinion.' But they didn't do that, which I think was wrong — I think that was wrong to do that. But, obviously, if I had said, 'Yes, I'll step in and resume my position,' then I think that I had a right to do that, really, because I wasn't able to continue with Glenn towards the end."

Remember that he must have done three or four interviews, which BM develops into a dozen articles as if he were the one who is labouring the point...
