Metal Gods and Rapid Fire dull? Very dull?

?

Revolutionary riffing mania.

Riffing mania? Really? Rapid Fire is a 4 minute song that has 2 riffs (which are not strong themselves). Same with Metal Gods. I guess you call playing the same note palm muted with a constant rhythm "riffing".

I like both albums, but SFV is my 2nd favorite Priest album. Only Painkiller passes it for me. British Steel is a good album too and I understand why its so well known, but for me I think it would sit in the middle of my rankings. I just love the sound on Vengeance. It commercial like Steel, but it also has the speed and energy that isn't quite captured on that album I think. Plus I just think the songs are better.

Also, the Bloodstone hate needs to stop. :p

Is it your favourite?
Those are Priest's five best albums, and they are all five stars.
But we have to pick something.

Best Priest album of the 1970s: Sin After Sin
Best Priest album of the 1980s: Defenders of the Faith
Best Priest album of the 1990s and best album ever released by any band: Painkiller

Thus the vote will be:

Screaming for Vengeance

Can't disagree with this in any way. Although choosing between Sin and Vengeance isn't very easy.
