Besides that, I work the occasional shift in a supermarket - and yes, it sucks! I almost got beat up by some f*cked up drughead the other day for no apparent reason! So I'm really looking forward to being able to spend all my time cooking. Won't be long, I'll be the new Jamie Oliver [!--emo&:P--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/tongue.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'tongue.gif\' /][!--endemo--]

Music student.

That's the posh way of saying a drunk/stoned person who can play four chords on a guitar and had no chance of getting a job when they left school so going to college and doing something easy like playing gigs in bands was the only option.

Except in my case of course...

I am gonna apply to albertson's(a USA grocery store), and my friend who works there says im more than likely gonna get the job. The only problem is that my mohawk would have to go. Sure they're tough, but "dreaded"? Please!

I'm going to the dreaded Swedish stuff in just a bit more than a year, heading for the science courses which are the ones people find to be the hardest of them all. Can't see why they should be tougher than other schools at the same level though.

Just out of interest, what have you heard about them?

Well, I've just heard you actually learn something, unlike american public high schools. ok that was too easy [!--emo&:D--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/biggrin.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'biggrin.gif\' /][!--endemo--] Much stricter, more subjects a German friend told me she was taking 13 subjects a week. You stay one more year so you don't have the riddiculous "Gen Ed" courses your freshman year of university.... so you know... the basics hehe

I currently study cooking at advanced GNVQ. Starting my 2 years as an apprentice this fall. And I work a little at my local Dolly Dimple's [!--emo&:D--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/biggrin.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'biggrin.gif\' /][!--endemo--]

Shadow, there's more of a science component in the gymnasium than there are in North American high schools. Similarly, the bar is higher - as I am considering doing graduate studies in Sweden, I've been learning about the school system there. It's much different!

I'm a full-time student at the moment. I'm completing an honours degree in history with minors in English Literature and German.

After this, I'll likely go on to graduate school.

13 subjects a week? PIECE OF CAKE. we have 17 subjects a week and there's enoguh information (most of it useless) to go for twenty school systems in the west. What I'm trying to say is that we learn a whole lot more than the westerneres but the education that we get doesen't get us through life.
