I just literally stumbled on this while looking up stuff about Whamaggedon ::):

Apart from being the name of the town where Janick lives, "Yarm" is apparently a British dialect word meaning "to utter a discordant cry: SHRIEK, WAIL -> used especially of the cry of an animal".

And possibly also the sound of a guitar being played like this :lol:

The other definition of Yarm being 'niceish historic market town that Teesside people aspire to move to if they ever become wealthy'.
