Iron Maiden live in Hamilton on the Virtual XI world tour, featuring Afraid To Shoot Strangers & The Evil That Men Do
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lnMGLVbk6yU

Wow!  I had no idea they played in Hamilton.  If only I was a fan back in '98.  Blaze did a great job with the first song but he just can't do high voices.  I don't know if he ever tried Aces High; if he did that must have been torture.

 , that clip was great!  Bruce reminded me a lot of Janick for a while there.  :p

And it was strange to see Nicko up front "playing" guitar.  :)

To Tame A Land (not the best quality, but wow, I have never seen this song before!), live in Montreal 1983: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r-Y-zKbJz8Y

The sound quality is not as good on this one so I couldn't enjoy it.  It would have been nice to hear it on the history tour; I doubt they'll ever play it again.

A brandnew one!  :)

On Saturday, August 25, MetalHead.ro spoke with IRON MAIDEN frontman Bruce Dickinson while he was in Romania at the Black Sea to present an air show. Watch the interview at this location. -->

...one last question!
;)

I could tell ya, but I'd have to kill ya.  :)

Here`s footage from the X Factor launch party

(Nicko makes an interesting joke at the beginning)

And a video from Somewhere on tour-the whole concert was filmed, and check out this guy`s other videos.

Thanks man! Cool, esp that launch party.

edit:

Here an interview with Bruce (3 parts) broadcasted in 1984 (perhaps recorded in 1983?)
Uploaded by someone with the name of TapLegion (like the person from this forum?):
The interview was done in an relaxed atmosphere in the company of beers.

I think I watched that interview before, is that the one where he gets asked is his book an autobiography?

This is the first time I've seen this one, though I'm sure many of you have.  Nicko talks about his choice of drumming for Where Eagles Dare and how he worked it out so it does not sound like disco music.  :)

EDIT: I'm getting the feeling that this was released on a DVD that I do not have as it is a section of larger chunk of a Nicko interview.

This is from his drumvideo "Rhythm of the Beast" (released in 1991, if not mistaken).

I have seen it but I do not own it. I saw it when I had drumming lessons in the mid nineties. My teacher showed it. It's a great video, also showing Nicko visiting the factory where they make his cymbals.

I think it's not released on DVD yet, so this is pure VHS footage! :)

Cool to see it again after so many years! Thanks :)

You're welcome, mate.  You're right about the footage being part of 'Rhythm of the Beast'.  The remaining parts of it on YouTube, found on the previous post's link, indicated so.  It is great that your teacher thought of Nicko's drumming as good enough for a drumming lesson.  Way to go Nicko! :)

I have to admit that he knew I liked Maiden, so it might have influenced his choice to bring it. But apparently he knew the video before I had lessons. :)

Re: Iron Maiden video interviews / shows

This one is totally awesome! It's Bruce in 1982 singing Killers!

EDIT: I found another cool video, it's from 1990 right after Janick joined the band. They're in a tiny bar in England under the name "The Holy Smokers."
2 questions though: What is Dave talking about when they point to the Marshall and he says something like, "I have 20... ...It's only on 6, so 14 more to go until 20..."? and what song are they playing after Wrathchild? I like the harmonies!

Oh, that bastard! I uploaded that way before him!!!

I wish they had released the entire gig on TV, such a great atmosphere in a small club and Janick's first gig.

To be honest, I think it's 1981. He did his audition and this was one of the tracks he did.

Thanks for the Janick link, didn't see that! :)

Hint: It shows a picture of Nigel Tufnel of Spinal Tap right after that bit.

H-geeks report : freaking out!  :D

Nice video, quite good AOB footage too. They both look extremely happy on the interview part. By the way, haven't watched the Athens 1988 video, but weren't they there back in SIT tour, when Bruce sang Alexander The Great chorus?

P.S. what's the name of divebombs performed by Adrian Smith? H-bomb!  :D

No, Bruce did that chorus but it was somewhere in the 21st century.

Enjoy this, if interested!

Maiden's second time on Donington:

Headbangers Ball, MTV Donington Special 1992 Part 1
Headbangers Ball, MTV Donington Special 1992 Part 2
Headbangers Ball, MTV Donington Special 1992 Part 3
Headbangers Ball, MTV Donington Special 1992 Part 4

I remember this special when it was broadcasted on MTV Headbangers Ball, in the summer of 1992. It was very thrilling for me, because not much later I would see Maiden for the first time!

I think it really showes how much fired up the band was in those days and how important Janick was.
