Iron Maiden video interviews / shows

I don't wanna say that it doesn't sound good, but.... if you want to be in a band and do something great, like they did, go find a name and compose great music as they did.
To copy a band is not a solution, take this for example... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wcc4v93b8mA come on  ;) , if you can't find a name and create your music, go and do something else

this is my opinion

Lmao! Now that's going overboard. I have no problem with cover bands, I think there great. But I agree some take it too far. It's creepy when a bunch of grown men dress and imitate other grown men. ::)

Woah haha. Those guys have too much time on their hands.

It may have been posted before.

But here's an one hour long Maiden documentary from Norway, which was made right before the release of A Matter Of Life And Death. It is basically just one big interview.

The funny thing is that the interviewer is not at all known for hard rock and metal music, but he still made a very good program.

Cool Smalahove! Thanks a bunch :ok:

Very cool, Bruce's comments about his time away from the band and Chemical Wedding (part 2 around the 9:00 to 10:30) are interesting

It's really, really well done. Listen to how the music fits so well to the interviews. Especially when Nicko says it's the best album they've ever done (funny moment). There's a little silent moment at that point. Subtle.

Still weird in retrospect, that they promote that style of working (quicker) and are a bit negative about the Bahama's (long days) --> we all know that they switched back to that for the next album!

Best part of part 1 is when Bruce speaks about those old influences and those different records people they'd play, while now the media make money by splitting it all up (the genres).

Thanks for posting that documentary, it's like a more fleshed out version of the 30 minute piece that came with the album.  Very interesting, they all seemed to really hold that album in high regard, and justifiably so.

Which makes the relative lack of similar press for the new album rather odd.

Nice to see that you liked the documentary :ok:

The Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation have also posted the whole Flight 666 movie on their internet TV, and it's free to watch. They've also changed the movie title to the bit more fancy "On The Wings With Iron Maiden".

It may not be available to people outside Norway due to copyright restrictions and that kind of stuff. But it's worth a try

I'm just watching the first Norwegian interview and I really loved how Bruce explained the cliques and "the segmentation" of various musical groups and their fans.  I remember how this segmentation worked when I was a kid for many teenagers.

Yeah GK, that was my fav part as well.

I finally finished part 2 and I particularly liked the moment when they talked about Bruce, and when Nicko told the story of what would happen if he couldn't drive the band anymore.

-There's a rumour that's been going around lately that the Final Frontier will be the Iron Maiden's last album.
-No, it's not.
:shred:

I bet they are getting tired of that question. They should put a statement on the website or something.

Best part for me was when the journalist told Dave and Adrian that he just made a Bruce Air deal with Bruce, and Adrian said something like "oh yeah, he'll probably get his pilot's license by then, no need to worry". :D

Also, I think that the journalist misunderstood Bruce, it's not like he told him "yes, of course, I'll add the Norway destination right away, done deal".
