Iron Maiden to announce UK dates on Thursday 11 November!

Newcastle!!!!!!!!!!!

Got my tickets booked for Newcastle Arena today!  Bout bloody time, cant beleive we've had to wait 4 and a half years for a UK tour while the yanks seem to get them every summer!  Obv I went to Twickenham in between and Im sure other folk went to Download.... but I have to say Maiden have SEVERELY neglected their original UK fans these past few years, and Im delighted theyre trying to put it right!  Hopefully Im gonna try to make it down to the O2 for last night of the tour, will have to fight for tickets tomorro!

Belfast tickets sorted  :yey: Maybe someone here can help me, the ticketmaster girl I bought them off said there was no standing tickets on her system so I reluctantly got seating. I came home and checked online and it seems there's still standing tickets available. Did I just get a shitty sales girl?

Yeah I'm no too bothered to be honest, getting to old for all his jumping around  But sometimes you gotta stand up and scream your ass off and I don't wanna be getting in people's was etc.

Got my tickets for Glesca today, w00t!

Will all the UK gigs sell out, you think?

I would imagine so.  They're just had a number one album, and it's a while since they did a proper UK tour.

Well, it's official that N.A. won't get a fall tour: http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbe ... mID=149706

I wish I could interview Steve so I could ask him this:
True, you did a N.A. leg for TFF, but that wasn't fully supporting the album. After it being your highest charting album ever, why aren't you doing a full N.A. tour to fully support it?

I would love to hear his answer to that one.

As would I, as would I. I'm hoping that maybe we'll get a NA tour in 2012 sometime, I don't see them doing a winter tour in NA so I guess we'll have to wait two years :(
Which is unfortunate because, as you pointed out, North America ate up this album like no Maiden album before. The tour we just got was great, I loved the show that I saw, but I want to hear some of the new songs so badly live!

True, but let's just be VERY thankful that we even got to see them when many others who in parts of the world where they never tour will never see them.

Wise words Fonze....but I feel for you.  Down here in Oz we didn't see Maiden from the Fear of the Dark tour in 1993 up until they finally came back in 2008 for Somewhere Back In Time.  How I wished they'd toured here for BNW, DoD and in particular AMOLAD.  The one solace I could draw was the official live albums and some bootlegs for AMOLAD.  I have a mate who is not really into Maiden but he was in San Francisco last year when they were touring and he went to the show.  I was very, very jealous that a non-fan witnessed DoD, TCDR, TROBB etc because I have never seen a reunion song live.  It is frustrating not seeing 'em on a tour but I've learnt you have to appreciate the times you did see them.  4 times for me...Somewhere on Tour, Fear of the Dark Tour and SBIT x 2

That being said, I'm seeing both Sydney shows and want to hear as many TFF songs as possible and any other reunion era music they choose to play.

BTW...I'm listening to your SIT boot.  Thanks man! Praise coming your way.

I saw them in 1992 and 2000. Both were AMAZING shows! I would have seen them more, but they always skipped Minnesota and I couldn't afford to travel. I sure hope they make it here again before they retire.

Glad you like the SIT boot. :)

"IRON MAIDEN ANNOUNCE ANOTHER SHOW AT LONDON 02 ARENA – SATURDAY AUGUST 6TH 2011 – TICKETS ON SALE NOW
Published: November 20, 2010

Live Nation is pleased to announce that due to the overwhelming demand of their fans for tickets which went on sale today for Aug 5, IRON MAIDEN have already added a second show at the London O2 Arena. The additional show is now on sale and will take place on Saturday August 6th 2011 , marking the end of THE FINAL FRONTIER WORLD TOUR.

Special arrangements have been made for members of the Iron Maiden fan club to get access to the best seats and standing tickets. These held tickets are available to FC members on a strictly first-come, first-served basis and will be available to the fanclub until 9am Tuesday or until they are sold out, whichever comes first. To purchase -- use this link and enter your UK presale code (sent by Private Message earlier in the week)."

Good news for Brits, I guess, but this pretty much demolishes hope for North Americans who were hoping to see them after the European leg of the tour. :(

I thought it was clear that Maiden would end the tour in London.

Hmm, somehow I hoped to celebrated the end of the tour, but a first show in the O2 arena, Maiden coming home, is at least as special.  :)

So you're not interested in a ticket for the second night?

Well, that's what I thought, but IIRC it wasn't explicitly stated, and there were speculations on this board that they would tour in America in the autumn.

Yeah, I think it was wishful thinking.  I mean, it explicitly stated in the press release for the announcement of the UK dates that it was the last leg of the tour.

They said something like 66 days around the world, or something, maybe we should have calculated it. ;)
