Iron Maiden to announce UK dates on Thursday 11 November!

Croatia is rumored sometime in early spring 2011. That comes from a very reliable source.

Hello!
Any idea when Maiden will tour the rest of Europe? France, Spain, Portugal...
I just want them to play after exams, or some weeks before...
Regards!

Manchester plz manchester plz manchester and plz not between 16th may and 5th june
-_- tests

Manchester for me as well. I want to see them twice though, so I'll travel to other cities.

I will try and see them at least twice.

I predict this

Birmingham NEC
Manchester
Dublin
Belfast
Glasgow
Cardiff millenium stadium
London wembley arena

with hopes for sheffield just incase manchester or birminghams on an inconvenient date.
if only theyd do an extra extended uk tour, like the early... early days    :)  thatd be cool, with residences
seeing as theyre making a big deal about these uk dates i live in hope  :yey:

This is starting to get annoying. They need to just announce the whole tour and quit with the countdowns . It was the cool the first 3 times now it is getting extremely old.

Cardiff Millenium Stadium would be great, but it is much more likely to be Cardiff International Arena, if indeed they play Cardiff, and not just one date in London.

It all depends on how bookings, etc. work.  They want to be able to announce the dates with as much time as possible in advance, especially for high-demand markets like South America.  It all depends on schedules, when venues are announcing things, how things are contractually worked out, etc.  For example, they announced the Nordic dates way in advance because they had to deal with them way in advance, and the gigs are in large markets.  It wouldn't be feasible to have waited until December or whenever to announce the entire European run.  Besides, I think it's good for them to have countdowns like this because it allows fans to know when info is being released; this prevents them from missing out on tickets.

Usually there's at least a week between the announcement and the tickets coming on sale, which is plenty of time for the local advertising to be noticed.  I think most people who see it on the website would also find out without the timer.

I guess it depends.  But I'd rather know a week ahead of time when they're announcing dates rather than have to check repeatedly to avoid missing them.  And I've never seen Maiden advertised locally.

I'm down for either the O2, Earls Court or Twickenham. I actually have someone on the inside at Twickenham who might be able to sort me out something nice.

As soon as I get my tickets I'll have to find some decent accomodation.

i had no problem when they announced SBIT. I can understand the ticket thing but making a countdown for something like a music video is just bullshit

Thoughts on weather this is going to be only U.K gigs err what?  Any chance the entire tour { North America etc} will be announced?

Weird, for this year's Sonisphere I saw at least four non-consecutive weeks of advertisement all around town.  But I guess it depends on the region and the promoter.  The Maiden shows here are relatively big (and expensive) so I guess the promoters can afford to advertise plenty.

They were advertised here just like any other big band. Posters, radio ads + in last month video ads on national television.
It all depends on the promoter.

Pretty sure it'll just be the UK dates. And I wouldn't have my hopes up for a full US tour like they did last year. They've already announced all of the "Around the world in 66 days" tour and are going to be announcing the remaining dates of the European leg soon, starting with the UK on Thursday.
