I'm surprised about the votes for Face in the Sand. It opens a bit slow, but when the verse kicks in and Nicko's pounding the double bass it turns into one of the heaviest, most brutal songs that Maiden's ever done. Although this IS the same crowd that wiped out The Trooper and 2 Minutes without hesitation.

Well, well... Beforehand I knew I would vote for the two worst songs Maiden have ever released on album:

"Wildest Dreams" & "New Frontier".

I planned to play some of the other IMO weaker tracks of the album to carefully decide which would be number 3. But things turned out differently. When hearing "Montsegur" I got so irritated by the dumb and happy tone of this song. Its repetition at the end and lack of variety made the case complete. It drove me nuts. This is really worse than the other candidates. Decision made.

DIE Wildest Dreams (although a worthy opener for a horrible album /w a nice solo)
DIE Gates of Tomorrow (this one just sucks)
DIE New Frontiers (this one is not only boring, but it also has that ''anti-science'' tone to it)

And a warning to the ones that voted Sign of the Cross:

And the guilty'll bleed when that moment comes

What a pity, our beloved Maiden Survivor comes to the end, I will certainly miss it when it's gone
I predict that Paschendale will be among the top 3 Maiden songs....

It's not hate, but they happen to be weaker than the others -for pretty much everyone as you can see

I haven't much problems with "Gates of Tomorrow". I find the chorus quite enjoyable.

"Wildest Dreams" I dislike for its monotone chorus (even an 80 year old Ozzy Osbourne could write and sing a better chorus).
