One of the best riffs Maiden have ever come up with, rocking verses, fantastic rhythmic flow around the middle parts of the song and great lyrics.
 
BTATS has some intense stuff, that verse riff is one of their most brutal.
 
Compared to Brighter, The Longest Day is one of the most dragging songs Maiden ever did.

How long... til this chorus is done?
Can I finally have something else?
 
Brighter Than a Thousand Suns' chorus isn't all that different from The Longest Day in terms of length.

Brighter's first chorus is 40 seconds long, and the second chorus is 1 minute long.
TLD's first chorus is 40 seconds long, second chorus is 40 seconds long, third chorus is 40 seconds long.

TLD's chorus features two lines whereas Brighter is consisted of one. I don't have any problem with either of them and I like Brighter far better but still.

It's awesome all the way through.

Listened to TFF on the commute today in prep for this. It aged really well, didn't remember it being so strong. Even weaker tracks like The Alchemist are really good. I'm still not on board with the title track, but everything else is stellar. I may be reconsidering my vote for it in the album survivor if it lasts another round.
 
TFF is awesome. I agree with Mosh's points, the title track is the only piece on the album that I'm not on board with. I LOVE Satellite 15, though.

Alchemist is the second weakest song off the album but it has a fantastic chorus.
