Aww yeah..

Seriously, how good is the lyrics to the title track....Some of the best Maiden lyrics right there.

You walk through the subway, his eyes burn a hole in your back,
A footstep behind you, he lunges prepared for attack.
Scream for mercy, he laughs as he's watching you bleed,
Killer behind you, his blood lust defies all his needs.

My innocent victims are slaughtered with wrath and despise,
The mocking religion of hatred that burns in the night.
I have no one, I'm bound to destroy all this greed,
A voice inside me compelling to satisfy me.

I can see what a life's meant to be,
And you'll never know how I came to forsee, see, see.

My faith in believing is stronger than lifelines and ties,
With the glimmer of metal my moment is ready to strike.

Death call arises, a scream breaks the still of the night,
Another tomorrow, remember to walk in the light!
I have found you, and now there is no place to run,
Excitement shakes me, oh God help me what have I done?!
Oooh yeah, I've done it!
AGAIIN!

You walk through the subway, my eyes burn a hole in your back,
A footstep behind you, he lunges prepared for attack.
Scream for mercy, he laughs as he's watching you bleed,
Killer behind you, my blood lust defies all my needs.
Oooh look out, I'm coming for you!
Ahahahaha!

It's my second least favorite Maiden album. Four songs I voted for are in Top 10 worst Maiden songs IMO.

Belongs to my lowest albums too, but that doesn't say a lot because I generally love 90% of Maiden's songs. The only album that proves wrong the fact that the whole discography is epic, imo, is Fear of the Dark, which has some of their best songs (FotD - top4 for me, Judas be my Guide top 15 or so, Afraid also up there) but in contrast, some of their worst.

I find Running Free quite bad, however it was fun seeing it live. Similar thing for Iron Maiden but these are songs I could well live without.

Also this.

I also agree that every song off Killers is better live, and with Bruce, whereas a lot of songs from the debut are great both ways.
See, I'm not with you on that one. I love the sound of studio Killers, even Paul, whereas the debut was clearly a crank 'em out job.
Bruce improves a number of the debut songs, but I'm not sure if he improves anything from Killers — Drifter, for sure, but are there others?
