Reported for personal threats
Ok... that does it. If someone totally ignores the laughter emoji and puts that post out of context I think what we got here is going past what's meant to be rational. Like I could threat someone through death by high cholesterol levels on a band's forum. I believe reading this last sentence alone is enough to come to terms with the nonsense it bears.

So let's address what I THINK is going on around here: Some time ago I believe I started a thread about favorite bands by country other than the USA and UK. The main reason was to show other people and know myself several bands from several parts of the world. Some of them were well known while others weren't. It happens that the user in question stated in a somehow rash tone that everybody knows Gojira and Kreator and that that I could discuss my opinion about them on their respective threads. Tried to make him understand that it was a case of long due admiration. Didn't mentioned the fact many of the other bands were barely known and that such a list was not fit to be featured either in Kreator or Gojira's thread for obvious reasons. The user insisted in its rash approach and, instead of answering in a equally rash way I further felt it was better not to answer.

But even so I took in account his claim and posted the whole thing in the music discussion forum as seen in the link below:
https://forum.maidenfans.com/threads/favorite-band-by-country-uk-and-usa-not-included.71317/
Now... instead of participating in it or ignoring the thread the said user insisted in sterile comments until I decided to kinda start kidding with him (nothing offensive I believe). From that day on It's been a common trend when it relates to this user and my posts: "no one likes you or your posts", "your shit lists", "Karly J" and the list goes on and on and on. (here's an example: https://forum.maidenfans.com/thread...ith-less-than-4-minutes-originals-only.71567/). Now, I'm a grown man in my 40's and although I really lack some patience for these things I find somehow amusing this kind of infantile tantrums and presumptions (while It's behind my comprehension why a supposedly 30 year old man insists in such behavior... but hey! It's up to each one's conscience). So I took it in a lighter mode, reacted to each of those outbursts with a laughing emoji and the maximum I did till last night was posting an image of salt.

So here we are when I finally addressed him with a joke to spike it up a little bit due to the user's obsession with my posts (once again about salt and retrieving the diminutive nickname adaption with a tongue in cheek death wish provocation - obviously still part of the joke as the emojis reveal so on the Post Scriptum). Now people that miss the obvious poking sense of humor and really think this is my way of threatening someone (like I had the need of doing so) are either acting with second intents or have problems while interpreting basic stuff (if that's the case I hope this helps 'em). And for my surprise someone reported this as a personal threat (once again how was I threatening someone? Death by high cholesterol levels on a band's forum? Ask yourselves... does this even make sense?) when I was only was making a joke about someone who time after time made rude and sterile interventions regarding my posts. So this brings me to some points regarding what this forum is all about and the way people interact in it:

a) Creating vs bashing: It's a common trait I've been noticing. While some users on this forum are systematically creating content (lists, media sharing, news, poles, reviews and lists just to name some) there are others that spend their time bashing and pointing fingers to those threads. When I don't like a thread or it means little to me I normally ignore it. But that does not seem to be the norm for some users and It's really behind my comprehension why it happens so. My perception of this space is that the more content is brought in by users (with the premisse that it's related with music itself or Maiden) is always positive. Now, some people may find thread X a complete drag while thread Y is great and vice versa. So instead of simply posting merely destructive diatribes about content I think people should instead leave what they don't fancy aside and focus their effort in contributing with content. If that's the main spirit of this forum... it's ok with me. If not then something's really wrong here (at least for me).

b) Opinions and discussions: it comes with the business... people have strong opinions regarding some matters and tastes. And sometimes those views collide and generate really lit up discussions. Hey and if it civilized... it's normal. And I think that's what this platforms are also all about. I had some really lock horns with some users but it was never personal. And that's also fine... people tend to be thin skinned about everything and taking it personal and I believe that's a huge mistake. Life is full of variety and fortunately we don't like the same things. What I love may be what you detest and if that's so fine... more power to you. On the other hand what I think is right may also collide with your view and that's also ok... But I'll make you know why it is so (sometimes in a more poignant way while in others in a more light fashion)... and once again that's what DIVERSITY is all about. Now sterile and merely destructive regards are a totally different matter. If this is not a place of debate then something's really wrong here (at least for me).

c) Forum's "relationships": This is directly connected with the previous point. I have a really neutral view of what "relationships" in a forum are. I'm not your friend but surely am not your enemy. Just a guy who loves Maiden, metal and music in general. And that's what brought me here in the first place. Been able to share some great thoughts and content with some of you. Been able to get some cool stuff out of these forums. Sometimes discussions on topics get hot but once again that's unavoidable as I stated before... and sometimes we even recur to some poking irony while doing so. It's natural and if things are within certain limits and taken in a light hearted fashion always bearing in mind that's nothing personal (at least in my case) I see no harm in that. Now when people take it personal and take a merely negative approach it's when it all goes south. And I believe I never did it with Black Wizard or anyone else here. If so I was unaware of so and I'm sorry. I'm here for the music and sharing opinions and facts about it. If grudges, revanchisms, or any other sort of purely destructive behavior towards the USER (instead of his opinions) are a part of these forums then something's really wrong here (at least for me).

And I beg your pardon but I tend get myself out fast of things that I think are really wrong.
So I would really like to know what is the main take of all of you (if not at least the moderators) on these 3 topics in order to check if my values are coincident with the main spirit of this platform and therefore calculate my next moves regarding this forum.

Best Regards

Carlos Jr.

P.S. : wrote this explanation in this thread because this is where all this situation happened to converge. I recon other than that it is absolutely misplaced and that after it is answered it may be migrated to a different area, thanx.

Eliminated after Round 39:
Ghost Of The Navigator - 16 votes
The Book Of Souls - 15 votes
Revelations - 15 votes

There were some last minute votes that changed the structure of what was going out.

If a survivor is hosted in the future, it might be an idea to note how many songs are eligible to go out in a given round.
