To be exact I'm under the impression Killers was recorded in November-December 1980, so: 80.

According to the official biography, they first went into the studio with Martin Birch in December 1981. It also states that Killers was released in February 1981. Go figure.

Based on Lusimas book, it seems that they were in Battery Studios from some time in November 1980 til maybe January 3rd 1981.

Anyway, never seen that photo before. Steve's hair is magnificent.
