Iron Maiden News, Links, and Interviews

Don't you guys have nothing else to talk about than the appearance of band members (and yes I consider Nicko still to be band member)?
First it was Bruce's hair and bald spot, now Nicko's facelift. Seems like if there aren't any touring activity or album discussion, the chat goes to some random shit. Like really, why are you so invested in band members appearance?

Fillers, not a facelift. Some members have noticed something Maiden related and for me would be a strange discussion forum if this elephant in the room had to be ignored.
By the way, appearance often has a lot to do with health and well-being. It is not so irrelevant.

It's the first time he's been seen in public since he left the stage and he looks noticeably different. We'd be saying the same thing if he had shaved ha head.

Our dear Nicko. Love seeing him. I'm not sure, but he looks a bit older/weird in the face? now than at the last show. He made the right decision to retire. I wish there is an interview or a few words from him for the first time since the retirement live, but I guess he will do it when he play some solo shows.

Seeing him now, I'm not sure if he will play on a potential new Maiden album (one or two songs? special guest live?), he will want to ofc, but will he do it.

No, looks like fillers. Really a bad decision for more than one reason, after a certain age especially.
Maiden simply don't have good experts/consultants in some areas. Astonishing!
Fully agreed! I still can't believe that Maiden and crew don't come to us, casual forum goers, for advice instead of whatever "specialist" they use. Ridiculous.

Casual forum goers?
What are you talking about? I am talking about the best experts in their field who advise against fillers on a scientific basis, especially after a certain age. And that it is a pity that Nicko was apparently not advised by them. That is my opinion.
Why? Because the result would be different. I know a lot of actors where “casual forum goers” couldn't even see that something was done, just that they look good.
Other actors/musicians etc. look like jokers. How does that happen? They were treated by the right experts or not.

Classic Rock mag with a special new issue for Maiden's 50th anniv with new interviews. And a poster. Like the good old days.

I hope someone will share the interviews or picture. Btw, Eddie's face (*separate mini poster) on the wall is still curious.

I was just going to post this. That is definitely one magazine to get at the newsagents!

That sounds like this platitude. Men often say this when they are asked what they have missed because they worked so much etc.

Could you explain why it is strangely worded? (Sorry, English is not my mother tongue. Thank you!)
Do you say "shocking for mental health" in England? Sounds strange/unusual to me, but maybe that's a phrase in England.

It is just the reference to the wild days of the 80s and mentioning missing your kids growing up, when the kids he had with Paddy were all born after the 80s!

We use when someone causes you intense surprise or horror, and also to emphasise that something is very bad (e.g., "that was shocking singing").

Maiden and the Manics in one magazine. You are there!

You bet! 'Appy days, as Mick Box would say.

I stopped buying Classic Rock/Metal Hammer issues featuring Iron Maiden because in most cases they were just recycling old interviews and quotes to write new pieces, but the promise of new interviews with the band members have piqued my curiosity and awoken the rabid fan that is still in me. The question is, would Nicko be one of the band members interviewed? I'll try and check if that is the case tomorrow!

Basically Steve was a loner, Adrian a drunk and Bruce got all the girls.
I hope the full interviews have more and better questions.

This issue we’re celebrating 50 monstrous years of Iron Maiden with an exclusive Eddie cover and exclusive interviews with Steve, Bruce, Adrian, Dave, Janick and Nicko. It really has been quite the journey. And, as you’ll find out, it’s far from over yet.

Ooops, I should have read the promotional blurb!

Thanks!
