You voting for Burnt Offerings makes it even. :P

Out of the three songs I voted for, I like TDTP the most. I kind of hate to see it go early.

I just don't think Gettysburg is so special... It has great lyrics, but it's pretty subpar musically. (Btw. if the results stay like this Prophecy is out.)

I played the whole trilogy yesterday for first time in ages and I confess that I prefer part 2 and 3. So I voted for the wrong one when I joined.
I go 2, 1, 3. But I love all three songs quite thoroughly. I think it's a masterpiece.

I think the trilogy is very special. The downside is that some pieces are repeated quite often but there are some wonderful melodies and the whole story (gratefully helped by the extra texts in the booklet) worked out very well! Excellent lyrics and vocals.

No way, musically it is one of the most unique things in Iced Earth's catalog.

If it was counted as a whole, I would want it in the top 5, at least. In fact, if it doesn't go this round, I might lay off of TDTP for awhile.

Well that's your opinion :P

Meh, it's not agressive/heavy enough for Iced Earth + relies too much on keyboards/orchestra + not much variation in speed/structure. Lyrics and Ripper (his best IE performance) bring the quality up. It's just not as cool as, say, Pure Evil, IMO.

Apart from The Prophecy and A Question of Heaven I find all other selections cooler.
I like the dynamics and razor blade sharpness in the oldest three. Lots of Maidenish changes. I am constantly at the edge of my seat. The next two feature some unique atmosphere and sound, only to be found on the Burnt Offerings album.

The later ones (the two Horror Show selections) give me goosebumps during certain atmospheric moments.

deserves special mention. Awesome, bone chilling stuff. The Phantom Opera Ghost might be the best never played IE song. The intro, the Jon Schaffer speech and chorus in Damien kill as well.

Phantom Opera Ghost may be my favorite Iced Earth song.

So not being aggressive/heavy = musically sub par..ok

But I respect your opinion, of course.
