Yep, 7/10 made it with also the top 7 songs bar Question being in my own top 7. Only missing Coming Curse (still don't agree with what happened to it!), When the Night Falls :( and Angel's Holocaust.

And thank you for hosting Night Prowler!

Haven't been voting because I don't know the band well enough.
But I know it better now by following along.
A playlist of the top 10 was the soundtrack to my weekend (and likely my September).
I like every song on there. Pure Evil would have had my vote in the final.
But the Gettysburg trilogy is brilliant and the apex of the catalogue, IMHO.
Thanks NP.

Hey, I'm quite pleased with the outcome.

mckindog, you can have a prize for saying pretty much the most correct thing in this series of threads.

Why do some songs have (X+Y) beside them? I assume that X represents the number of rounds the song lasted before elimination but Y is a mystery to me.

Thanks Night Prowler, for hosting the survivor for America's greatest metal band.

Looking at the results: I am a bit surprised that Dante's Inferno did so bad (Iced Earth's Rime of the Ancient Mariner) but what I really find weird (or even ridiculous!) are the low positions of:

Angel's Holocaust
Stormrider
The Path I Choose

These are very awesome (and popular!) classics. Gone way too fast. As a whole song, from these three I like Path best, though the best moment in an Iced Earth song is certainly Jon playing that single riff in the middle of Angel's Holocaust. Always a fantastic moment.

Not a single of these in the top 10... so I decided to vote no: not satisfied with the results.

(I also would have had some obscure Burnt Offerings songs higher:
Burning Oasis (holy hell, so good this part from 4:35)
The preceding part is so atmospheric. Love it. The changes are fine. I like these and am used to this.

Creator Failure

Vengeance is Mine is another great song imo. Especially the AiA version.)

X represents the number of rounds the song lasted before being promoted. Y represents the number of rounds the song lasted after coming back to the game in the finals.
