How can I get my friend into Iron Maiden?

It's odd he doesn't like any of the songs except Wasted Years. But he likes Bruce Dickinson's solo work.
 
Well, there's a chance it might just not be his thing and he'll never like them.
But if you think he has misconceptions about them, look at what music he does like and introduce him to something you think has something in common with other music he likes. My boyfriend automatically thinks 'Spinal Tap' when I mention Iron Maiden, doesn't like Bruce's voice as it was in the 80s, and really dislikes their more flamboyant 80s stage clothes and performances. I'm introducing him via more recent music like A Matter of Life and Death instead
 
If he likes Bruce's solo work, he'd probably love Reunion era. Especially A Matter of Life and Death. Make him explore more stuff. The kind of music he listens to is certainly important.
 
I've gotten four of my friends into Iron Maiden (like, REALLY into Iron Maiden) over the past three years.

Main things I did was introduce them to their music (mainly in chronological order), explaining the history of the band along the way. After introducing them to all or most of the albums, I then started showing them the concerts. After that, all four of them were hooked.
 
While you and your buddies are playing video games on the Commodore-64,
just spin Maiden records in the background.
That's how I would get my friends to sit through all the albums that I liked.
