For reference, I'm not meaning PM of England or something, I would consider that sort of role to be head of state.

7. No.  For reference, I consider the Pope to be the head of state of the Vatican, though I'm not sure of the legality of it at the time.  Anyway, not religious.

The Prime Minister is the head of government. Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II is the head of state.

As a Canadian with a degree in history and poli-sci, I am aware of the difference.  Most Americans aren't.

I originally thought the Duke of Wellington, but he was Prime Minister. Twice. :)
