Historical Figures 20 Questions

13. No this person was not French.

Freebee: Because of religious belief, this person hesitated to publish his science.

This was not that stupid Albie, there are more Italian scientists.

If not a big problem, I have a visitor so I'll take a break for a couple of hours.
I will return before I go to bed.

Not a question:
If not Copernicus, it's probably one of his two contemporaries: Kepler or Tycho.

15. It was Copernicus indeed! Well done!

His major theory was that the Sun is at the center of the Solar System. Beside doing many other things Copernicus was a militairy leader as well, overseeing the defense of the castle of Olsztyn (Allenstein) at the head of Royal Polish forces when the town was besieged by the Teutonic Knights during the Polish-Teutonic War (1519–1521). He also participated in the peace negotiations.

Was this person born on or after Jan 1, 1450?

((So it's not He Who Must Not Be Named then!))

The person's name is - wait a second, I'm not falling for that.

Oh wait, perhaps you meant Maverick. Sorry, we can't speak that name. It's in the censored words list. Seriously. I tried to type it in this post, but the name is verboten.

However, it is an old forum joke which has recently been brought back to life. I think most of the people here can figure it out, if they've been part of the forum for about two years or more.
