Historical Figures 20 Questions

11. No
I could give a quote at question 12 - but it is not a direct quote, more of a parody of what this person might have said.

Was the person's death self-inflicted (drugs, suicide, etc) or caused by someone else (including accidents, "acts of God", murder, etc.) ?

That's the guy. As I said, not overly difficult - had to do a quick one before I eat.

I have to admit, this guy was my first hero before I had heard of Phil Lynott. The question of self-infliction I answered yes as it was due to the drugs and his lifestyle that lead to his poor health and ultimately his premature death.

But it was interesting to see how you, SMX, went from thinking of Freddie Mercury to Jim Morrison (as per the dates of death given).

Technically, I was thinking of Freddie Mercury, then Cliff Burton.  Then SMX was thinking of Jimi Hendrix, then Jim Morrison.  Then I came up with Elvis, but I let him win.

To give credit where credit is due:
LooseCannon came up with the answer in the chat.
But he let me ask it here, because I've got what I think will be a fun one for the next game.

You may begin asking questions.

And as a bit of a freebie:
This person is very famous. You have all heard of him/her. You may not necessarily know much about him/her offhand, but everyone has heard of this person.
